Frequently asked questions
Is 2250 cd/m² the normal full-screen brightness?
No. Sony specifies 2250 cd/m² as peak luminance. Full-screen output and sustained brightness depend on the image, mode and operating conditions; assess the display against the intended surgical-video source.
Can the USB-C port provide video or laptop docking?
No. The USB-C port supplies 5 V / 1.5 A power, up to 7.5 W. Video uses the documented HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D or SDI inputs; USB-A supports settings-memory transfer.
Can I show two sources with different gamma settings?
Yes. PIP and POP support two images with independent gamma selection. Confirm the exact input combination and timing requirements before specifying the installation.
How does it compare with the larger Sony models?
The LMD-32M1MD provides a 31.5-inch view and the LMD-43M1MD a 42.5-inch view. Peak luminance, dimensions, weight and mounting differ, so select by viewing distance and installation needs.
